Department of Interpretation

The Department of Interpretation is responsible for interpretive planning and development for exhibitions and interactive learning experiences. Staff collaborates with content and design specialists to develop exhibitions, interpretive multimedia, interactive learning spaces, and other hands-on opportunities for exploring American history through objects. Our work is informed by audience research and evaluation, standards for physical and intellectual accessibility, and current learning theories.
