Office of Education and Public Programs

The Office of Education and Public Programs (EPP) serves the Museum's audiences, both on- and off-site, through education, products, exhibition development, public programming, and visitor services and studies. The departments and programs that comprise OPP include the Department of Education and Interpretation; the Department of Public Programming; the Department of Visitor Services; the Jerome and Dorothy Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation; the Program in African American Culture; the Program in Latino History and Culture; the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra; the Hands On Science Center; and the Department of New Media.
