X-radiography (x-rays) reveals the internal structure of these models just as x-rays reveal the internal structures of the human body. They provide detail on the location and placement of the armature within the model. Different types of wire can be distinguished, with solid wire used for the main structure and stranded wire used for the veins and arteries. This information helps us understand how each individual model was constructed and how its internal structure affects its surface conditions.
