The Talent and the Fans

Once the script is in place, talent must be hired to tell the story.  Like a good script, a good actor (or the right celebrity) can ensure a successful production.  The cult of celebrity is not new to the 21st century.  Every era has produced its own celebrities or "stars".  Celebrity is not limited to actors: writers, directors and composers also become stars.  Legions of fanatics, or "fans", show their devotion by seeking autographs, photographs or other encounters with the celebrity.  Fans may compliment celebrities by emulating clothing, hair styles and lifestyles.
