The Society for the History of Technology Records were donated by Melvin Kranzberg to the Archives Center on August 29, 1988, along with his personal papers.  The Archives Center will continue to add SHOT records to its holdings as the official repository for the Society.

Several members of the Archives Center have worked on arrangement and description of these records.  Special thanks to Don Darroch who processed the majority of these records with me. I would like to acknowledge his perseverance and concerted effort in this enterprise.  Additionally, I would like to than two other volunteers, Bob Ageton and Grace Angel, who also worked tirelessly processing portions of these records.  Most particularly, I would like to thank John Fleckner for his continuing guidance.   Thank you all.
