This dress bodice is cut on the bias, with
a straight across top with shoulder straps. The bodice is attached to
a shaped, waist-to-hip yoke and then to a full gathered skirt. The wide
self fabric sash wraps around the waist. The dress is made out of red silk Gazar with Moire weave. Gazar is a type of stiff silk organdy, specially developed for Balenciaga in 1960.
