Accessible Snowboard Collection, 1996-2000
- Notes
- The accessible snowboard was developed by Matt Capozzi and Nathan Connolly, students at Hampshire College, Amherst, Mass., under the direction of Colin Twitchell of the Lemelson Assistive Technology Development Center. They developed serveral prototypes, ranging from a PVC chair attached to a snowboard to a design incorporating a suspension system, moveable seat, and a lever that raised the height of the seat to allow entry on a standard chair lift

- Dr. Hernandez-Rebollar was born in the state of Puebla, Mexico. He received his B.S. in Electronics at Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla in 1993. He received his Master's in Electronic Engineering from the Instituto Nacional de Astrofisica, Optica y Electronica, and his Doctorate in Science in Electrical Engineering at George Washington University

- Original and reference audio cassettes, transcript, digital images and copies of PowerPoint presentation documenting Dr. Hernandez-Rebollar's invention of the AcceleGlove. The AcceleGlove prototype can translate the alphabet and over 300 words into American Sign Language in English and Spanish

Safko to produce and sell the environmental control systems he invented for the physically disabled, specifically quadriplegics.
