Falcon Trio Vaudeville Collection, 1912-1931

- Edward F. Maziarz (Eddie Falcon) was born on September 12, 1891 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. By the Fall of 1911, he, Edward Bykowski, and Anton (Tony) Walker started their aerial act. Except for an interruption while Eddie Falcon served in the Navy (1918-1919), the group performed quite steadily from 1912-1931

- Virgil Eldon Bottom was a leading figure in the use of quartz crystal technology for frequency control in radio communication, particularly for use by the military. In early radio quartz was frequently used to help hold the frequency

Colonel William Augustine Washington Papers, 1789-1840
- Notes
- Col. Washington was the sixth son of George Washington's older half brother, Augustine. He was commissioned a captain in the 3rd Virginia Regiment Feb. 1776, wounded at Trenton Dec. 1776, and received his majority Jan. 1777. Promoted to lieutenant colonel Nov. 1778. Wounded again at Cowpers and taken prisoner at Eutaw Springs, 1781. Became a brigadier general 1798, honorably discharged June 1800. A Charles Wilson Peale portrait of Col. Washington is at Independence National Historical Park, Philadelphia

Timothy Prescott's Lesson Book, 1803
- Notes
- A note to "Mr. Watkins" (probably Malcolm Watkins, SI curator) from the donor in the collection control file indicates that the lesson book is dated Jan. 10, 1803 and that it was "used in Westford before [Timothy Prescott] moved to Littleton and then Concord."
- Summary
