Parker-Russell was a premier refractory for fire brick used to build furnaces for gas & electric and lighting companies, steel mills and other industries that needed high temperatures to function. A 1903 booklet about Gas Retort Benches. A circa 1907 catalog showing the company's line of fire clay bricks and coal gas benches. A 1912 booklet entitled "Progress: The Parker-Russell Mining & Mfg. Co. of St Louis, Builders of Complete Coal Gas Carbonization Plants including benches, chimneys, stoking machines, retort houses, coal and coke apparatus." Circa 1919 booklet entitled "The Fiddes-Aldridge Simultaneous Discharging-Charger. Undated (circa 1920) duplicate pair of catalogs entitled "Refractories of Endurance". 1920 "Catalogue containing useful information in connnection with the use of Fire Clay Brick". Circa 1924 catalogue on enameling muffles.
