Description (Brief)
This squeegee was used at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 by the donor, window washer Jan Demczur. Mr. Demczur used his window-cleaning squeegee to cut his way out of an elevator on the 50th floor of the World Trade Center after it had jammed and stopped. Mr. Demczur and five other men were able to escape the building shortly before it fell. There is a small plate attached to the top and a "winged" Ettorre logo is printed on the other side.
