This telescope has an achromatic objective lens of 2 inches aperture, a wooden tube with brass fittings, and a brass pillar and claw stand. The "Gregory & Wright, London" inscription near the eyepiece refers to Henry Gregory and Gabriel Wright, opticians who worked together between 1782 and 1790.
