Description
This engraving is Plate LXXVI from the first American edition of the Encyclopaedia published at Philadephia in 1798. Fig. 158 shows the twelve signs of the zodiac. Fig. 159 shows the phases of Saturn from 1782 to 1796. Fig. 160 shows a cross section of the Milky Way system according to William Herschel. Fig. 161 shows the universe filled with solar systems.
