Geometric Model Stand for an Ellipsoid by L. Brill or M. Schilling

Description
This is one of a group of wooden stands, painted black, which are designed to hold models like those produced by Ludwig Brill and Martin Schilling. It is a small elliptical ring, with six small indentations in the bottom. The model has no tags or marks.
The model might be a stand for one of Schilling’s models of an ellipsoid that has museum number 1990.0571.03. Schilling’s number for that model (but not the stand) is No. 178. Ser. 3, No. 2. Brill sold the same model as No. 95, Ser. 3, No. 2.
