Kathy (Bergdoll-Brawn) Tidball
My grandfather (Charles Bergdoll Brawn) was one of Louis Bergdoll Jr.'s five children. He walked away from the brewery fortune and moved to California to get away from his draft dodger brothers. I grew up in California and last May I went to Philadelphia for the first time to see the Bergdoll brewery, meet family for the first time and visit the cemeteries. While I was there I was given some beer bottles from the brewery along with one of these advertising notebooks. Mine is 1903-04. I'm thrilled to own one!
