IMO Type 2 Water Meter

This is a rotory water meter with split case and serial number 7,312,070 that fit a ⅝” pipe, and that was made by the Pittsburgh Equitable Meter Company. The IMO was described as “The Most Accurate Water Meter Ever Commercially Made.” Aktiebolaget IMO Industri of Stockholm, Sweden, held the basic patents and Pittsburgh Equitable was licensed to manufacture and sell these meters in North America.
