Baudin Thermometer

Description
This mercury-in-glass thermometer has a tube marked “18181 Baudin à Paris (1912-10).” The scale extends from -40.2 to +40.2 degrees, graduated in fifths. The long cylindrical bulb has been broken off. It came to the Smithsonian from the U.S. Weather Bureau.
