Description
Popular Comics No. 103 was published by Dell Magazine in September 1944. The upper two-thirds of the cover depicts an image from the “Terry and the Pirates” story. The lower third is a triptych featuring scenes from the comic, “Smokey Stover,” “Smilin’ Jack” and “Gang Busters.” Additional stories in this issue featured "Elza Poppin" "Dr. Bobbs," "Felix the Cat," "Polly and her Pals," "Gasoline Alley," "Toots and Casper," and "The Gumps."
Popular Comics published 145 issues from February 1936 through 1948. Popular Comics featured a variety of different stories during its run, often licensing content including Gasoline Alley, Felix the Cat, the radio show Gang Busters, Little Orphan Annie, and Dick Tracey.
