Popular Comics No. 105

Popular Comics No. 105 was published by Dell Magazine in November 1944. The upper two-thirds of the cover depicts Smilin’ Jack Martin flying his plane with a gunner in the back, and an inset picture of Smilin’ Jack himself. The lower third is a triptych featuring scenes from selected stories in this issue, including “Smokey Stover,” “Terry and the Pirates,” and “Gang Busters.” Additional stories in this issue include "Polly and Her Pals," "Dr. Bobbs," "Feliz the Cat," "Gasoline Alley," and "Toots and Casper."
Popular Comics published 145 issues from February 1936 through 1948. Popular Comics featured a variety of different stories during its run, often licensing content including Gasoline Alley, Felix the Cat, the radio show Gang Busters, Little Orphan Annie, and Dick Tracey.
