Opera Glasses

Description
This is a gold-plated brass instrument with black bakelite handle. The barrels are in part filigreed, and in part covered with simulated tortoise shell. The objective lenses are 24 mm diameter. The words “PAR BREVETE D’INVENTION ET DE PERFECMENT *” appear around each eyepiece. The case is red cardboard lined with silk.
