This collection documents one salesman's experience as a representative of an important American manufacturer of calculating machines.
This part of the collection includes correspondence of Charles G. Pefinis during his career with Marchant Calculators, Inc. and the Marchant Division of SCM. Pefinis began his career as a salesman in Atlanta, Georgia in about 1955. He was transferred to Agency Manager in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1961 and to District Manager in Baltimore in 1965. In 1972, when SCM left the calculating machine business, Pefinis started his own compnay, National Business and Security Systems.
