Description
Photograph of broadcasting pioneer, Raoul A. Cortez and comedian Bob Hope in San Antonio, Texas. Raoul Cortez's radio station, KCOR carried international talent such as Hope and other stars. Here, Hope seems to be teasing Cortez.
Cortez founded KCOR radio in 1946 and KCOR TV Channel 41 in 1954-1955 in San Antonio, Texas. Both stations broadcast in Spanish and served the Mexican American community. (See related objects in the Spanish-language broadcasting collection.)
