Anatomical model of a portion of a lower mandible with teeth. A paper insert reads in part: "Suggestions for the use of Pathology Model No. 15" explains that the model be used to explain the necessity of the dental x-ray and how it reveals conditions that are not evident by examining the crowns of teeth. The model is made of pyralin, a nitrocellulose plastic akin to celluloid. The form was associated with George S. Monson (1869-1933), a dentist in St. Paul, Minn.
