Description
This has two balances and one set of eight nested bronze weights, in a rectangular wooden box. One balance has an 18-inch iron beam, brass chains, and 7-inch pans marked “*HUNDRED*WEST*DERBY*1796.” The other has an 11-inch iron beam, brass chain, and 4-inch brass pans marked “*HUNDRED*WEST*DERBY*1796.” Two of the weights are marked “AVOIRDUPOISE.”
