Handleless spun tulip-shaped cup on flared pedestal base with repousse chased decoration of scrolling branches of oak leaves and acorns that form a wreathed reserve at front inscribed "To / Hugh Vernon / W / From his Mother / Feby 22nd. 1882" in different fonts. Applied molding at rim and foot ring, both with beading; cusped stem with ball knop; and circular, stepped ogee foot with matching oak leaf decoration. No marks.
