File Box

Plain, horizontal rectangular, lidded box with wire hasp lock above an oval wire ring handle on front. Flat lid is hinged partway near back and is made of one piece with a wire-rolled front rim and folded edges that fit over the box sides. Box has wire-rolled rims and is made in three pieces with soft-soldered, folded edges, two for the ends and one forming the flat bottom and sides. No marks. Faint outlines of the word "DATA" stenciled in block letters below handle.
