Document Box or Trunk

Rectangular lidded box with scrolled hasp lock on front, two hinges at back, and one threaded brass post and square nut from the original bail handle still fastened to the stamped top. Lid and box are both made of five pieces, all edges folded. Lid has a wire-rolled rim, while the box edges are folded with a large raised bead below. Tinned interior and exterior. No marks.
