Spice Box

Description:

Rectangular, green-painted box with a scrolled hasp lock on front, a raised, cyma-bracketed rectangle and gilt brass post-and-bail handle on stamped lid, and two hinges at back; golden-brown japanned interior. Both lid and box are made of five pieces with folded seams. Lid has a wire-rolled rim while box has a folded rim with raised bead below. No marks. Contains six spice tins, DL*257491.0029-.034.
