This wooden inlay fragment of foliate scroll showcases the art of scrollwork, a decorative motif with ancient origins, utilized in the nineteenth century by Wisconsin cabinetmaker, Peter Glass. As a farmer in Wisconsin, German immigrant, Peter Glass, applied his native training as a marquetry craftsman to make award-winning furniture.
