Adrian Woman's Suit (Two-Piece)

This suit is a gift of Mrs. Allen Sparrow, who said that though it was expensive, her husband in the film industry wanted her to dress well because of his position.
Brown buttons close the slit openings of this jacket's long, set-in sleeves with heavy shoulder pads. The jacket has a pointed collar and an opening in the center front, also closed with two brown buttons at the upper front. Decorative fabric strips cross the front of the jacket, and the waistline seam at the front has a tie attached to the side back seams. There are more decorative strips in the upper back of the jacket, and it is lined with mauve crepe.
The skirt is cut straight, with darts set into the waistband. It has seams in the center front and center back, a decorative diagonal strip from the right front to back, and a zipper opening on the left side.
