Description (Brief)
This 3/4 view paper puppet of Little Red Riding Hood is the main character from the well known fairy tale, and was probably part of a child's toy set. Dating from the late 19th -early 20thC, the figures wears a lavender shift with a blue dotted skirt, covered with the familiar red cape and hood and carries a basket of yellow flowers.
The cut out paper figure is a chromolithograph,embossed with decorative details and has a moving arm that is bradded at the shoulder. The puppet is mounted on a piece of stiff cardboard and manipulated with a small wooden stick that extends through a slot at the bottom.
