Charlie Scott Basketball Card

This Charlie Scott basketball card is number 166 a series of 264 that was manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1972-1973 American Basketball Association (ABA) season. In the 264 card set the subset numbers 249–258 were cards of the previous year's ABA All-Stars. The front of the card features an in-game action photo of the Virginia Squires guard. The card’s reverse notes Scott’s All-League honors as well as his statistics from the 1970-1971 and 1971-1972 ABA All-Star games. In his second ABA season, Scott set an all-time league record with 34.6 points per game.
Scott only spent those two years in the ABA, as he played in the NBA from 1972 until 1980. Scott played for the Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, and Denver Nuggets. He was a three-time NBA All-Star, and won an NBA championship with the Celtics in 1976.
