Description
This Jim Washington basketball card is number 22 in a series of 264 that was manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1972-1973 National Basketball Association season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Atlanta Hawks forward on an orange background. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “Jim is a native of Philadelphia,” as well as a short biography and career statistics.
Washington played for the St. Louis Hawks, Chicago Bulls, Philadelphia 76ers, Atlanta Hawks, and Buffalo Braves during his 11-year NBA career. From 1968 to 1974, the power forward averaged a "double-double" in points and rebounds with 12 and 10 per game, respectively.
