John Brisker Basketball Card

Description
This John Brisker basketball card is number 135 in a series of 264 that was manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1972-1973 National Basketball Association season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Seattle SuperSonics forward on a blue background. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “John grew up with Spencer Haywood,” as well as a short biography and career statistics.
known for his volatile temper while playing, Brisker began his career in the American Basketball Association, playing for the Pittsburgh Pipers and Pittsburgh Condors, averaging 26.1 points per game in the ABA. He finished his career as a member of the Seattle SuperSonics from 1972-1975. The end of his life is shrouded in mystery, as he told his family he was traveling to Uganda and disappeared in April 1978. Brisker was declared legally dead by King County, Washington, in 1985.
