This Bob Christian basketball card is number 53 in a series of 264 that was manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1972-1973 National Basketball Association (NBA) season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Atlanta Hawks center on a yellow background. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “Bob works in construction off-season,” as well as a short biography and career statistics. Christian played for the Dallas Chaparrals and New York Nets in the ABA in 1969, before playing for the Hawks and Phoenix Suns in the NBA until 1974.
