The front of the card features a posed picture of the Denver Rockets guard The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “Al is the quiet man of the Rockets,” as well as a short biographical sketch and career statistics.
Smith played his entire five-year career in the American Basketball Association, the first three years for the Denver Rockets, the last two for the Utah Stars. In the 1973-74 season, Smith led the ABA in total assists (619) and assists per game (8.1)
