This Dick Garrett basketball card is number 77 in a series of 264 manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1973-1974 NBA season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Buffalo Braves guard. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “Dick was a college teammate of the Knicks’ Walt Frazier,” as well as a short biographical sketch and career statistics.
Eldo "Dick" Garrett played in the NBA from 1969 to 1974. He played his rookie season with the Los Angeles Lakers and was named to the NBA's All-Rookie Team that year. Garrett would then spend three seasons with the Buffalo Braves and wound down his career in the 1973-74 season with the New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks.
