Phil Jackson Basketball Card

This Phil Jackson basketball card is number 71 in a series of 264 manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1973-1974 NBA season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the New York Knicks forward. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “They Call him ‘Action’ Jackson,” as well as a short biographical sketch and career statistics.
Phil Jackson won two NBA championships as a member of the New York Knicks in 1970 and 1973. He went on to become one of the greatest coaches in NBA history, winning a record 11 NBA championships as a coach, six with the Chicago Bulls and five with the Los Angeles Lakers. His 13 total championships is also an NBA record, as is his .704 winning percentage as a coach. Jackson was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007.
