This Dennis Awtrey basketball card is number 114 in a series of 264 manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1973-1974 National Basketball Association season. The front of the card has a posed image of the Chicago Bulls center dribbling a basketball. On the reverse of the card is a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “Dennis Is aggressive under the boards.” Below the image is Awtrey’s personal and career information, followed by a short player biography and career statistics.
Awtrey played for six teams during his 12-year NBA career, winning an NBA championship as a member of the Seattle Supersonics in 1979. Awtrey's finest statistical season came in 1974-75 with the Phoenix Suns averaging 10 points, 8.5 rebounds, and four assists per game.
