Description
This Jim Washington basketball card is number 87 in a series of 264 manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1973-1974 NBA season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Atlanta Hawks forward. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “Jim does public relations wok for Hawks off-season,” as well as a short biographical sketch and career statistics.
Washington played for the St. Louis/Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls, Philadelphia 76ers, and Buffalo Braves during his 10-year NBA career. During his decade-long career, Washington only missed the playoffs twice and in the 1968 playoffs averaged 17 points and 15 rebounds for the Bulls.
