Description
This Lee Winfield basketball card is number 42 in a series of 264 manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1973-1974 NBA season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Seattle SuperSonics guard. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “They call him ‘Leapin’ Lee’,” as well as a short biographical sketch and career statistics.
Lee played professionally from 1969-1976, starting with the SuperSonics. After four seasons with Seattle, Winfield went on to play for the Buffalo Braves and the Kansas City Kings over the last three years of his career.
