Description
These objects were collected by Brooklyn high school teacher and historian of mathematics L. Leland Locke and held by the Museums of the Peaceful Arts in New York City before coming to the Smithsonian. The component include twenty brass discs and portions of discs, as well as thirteen steel discs. All are on one shaft. At least one steel disc is numbered: 12. A loose piece is with the object.
