This black spring-back binder contains typed instructions on the use of Monroe calculating machines in solving problems. It is divided into the following sections:

1. class 1 - electric railways, steam railways, steamship lines

2. class 2 - coal companies, iron and steel companies, lumber companies, oil conpanies

3. class 3 - insurance companies

4. class 4 - public service companies

5. class 5 - department stores, retail stores

6. class 6 - textiles, leather companies, paper manufacturers and wholesalers

7. class 7 - financial concerns

8. class 8 - engineers, contractors, builders and architects

9. class 9 - miscellaneous

The binder also includes three loose sheets and an undated newspaper clipping.
