Union Electro reversible direct current motor

Description (Brief):

Marked: "Union Electro Motor / Pat. July 1874 / & Dec. 1874 / New York". This Motor has a cast iron frame with a steel, V-belt pulley at the end of the armature shaft. Two support feet. Casing is painted with filigree designs. Reversing of wire connections on the back of the armature shaft permit the motor to be run backwards.
