Microscope

Description
This is an unusual brass compound monocular that fits into and stands on a wooden box. The tube is supported by two poles, one at either side. Focusing is achieved by moving the stage relative to the optics rather than vice versa. The inside of the box lid is marked “No 66 / hs,” apparently in ink. Compare with 1987.0556.01.2.
