SAChAR SATVRN

Description
This squat blown-glass jar has a wide mouth covered bya piece of leather and secured with at its neck with string. The shield-shaped label is outlined in brown. It is marked SAChAR SATVRN in alternating red and black letters. The jar contained Saccharum Saturni, sugar of lead which was prescribed as an astringent or anti-diaphoretic.
