Apothecary Jar, PANAC MERCUR LEMER

Description
This blown and molded drug jar has a baked enamel label marked in red and black PANAC MERCUR LEMER. its generic blue and yellow decoration and stylized crown above the cartouche is similar to glass drug jars in the collection of the Deutsche Apotheken-Museum in Heidelberg. This bottle is illustrated on page 24 in the Squibb Ancient Pharmacy Catalogue.
