These cuttings are shoots from the
1995 harvest of Stag's Leap Vineyard
Cabernet Sauvignon, pruned from the
vines that produced the 1973 Stag's
Leap Wine Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon.
The swelling (or nodes) contain the
already-formed leaves, which would
become the shoots of the next vintage in
1996. Each of these shoots would have
borne two clusters of grapes.
