Edison in Budapest with his family, 1911
Mina was able to persuade her husband to spend some time relaxing. But it was Edison who determined that the family would take a European trip in the summer of 1911. They motored through several countries and were moderately successful in doing so anonymously. In Budapest, where this picture was taken, he was quickly recognized and surrounded by a crowd when he went for a stroll.
