To launch the Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation's first annual celebration of National Inventors' Month, the Lemelson Center partners with the LEGO Group to present a free, two-day collaborative build of a record-breaking 8-foot light bulb--the universal icon of a big idea. The light bulb will be made entirely of LEGO bricks constructed by visitors with the help of LEGO master builders, reinforcing the connections between play and invention explored in the "Invention at Play" exhibition. Spark!Lab, the Center's hands-on invention space, will feature special building and engineering-related activities throughout the weekend.
