Museum Closed for Renovations: The Museum building is closed for renovation until fall 2008.

2008 Jazz Appreciation Month:

Each April, the Museum celebrates the extraordinary heritage and history of jazz.  The national and international Jazz Appreciation Month initiative continues in 2008 and the Museum is working with other Smithsonian museums on programming.  All events are hosted at alternate venues.
